The King of Movement

By: Timothy Lucero
Martin Luther King Jr. stood in the face of discriminating fire and had millions of people following and backing him. The direction and discipline of this courageous man would not waiver in the face of major adversity. Now, in our times of struggle, whether it is financial, family, or emotional, there is an undeniable amount of growth we can acquire from Dr. King. Our country is only showing in greater magnitude of where our families stand in this country.
First off, let’s acknowledge our goals:
1. Develop spiritually
2. Reach for a better you
3. Become a good family member
4. Have reasonable success
As we analyze Dr. King, in his efforts, we typically look at how much strife was in his life. He faced leading millions of people and unimaginable racism. All eyes were on him and a mark in history was left because of how he dealt with the tremendous road he towed. Attributes of the great Dr. King abound but I would like to focus on one specific quality:
Determination
His dream was one of equality lead simply with peace and love. In his efforts, he spoke of peace by showing peace, he spoke of love by giving love and when he spoke of a greater America he was a greater America. It is now our turn to develop our life so we too, leave a legacy and a strong dynasty. When it comes to our daily development we must become selfish and understand that we are nothing without ourselves and only as good as we allow ourselves to become. No one person or persons did or could stand in the way of what Dr. Martin King wanted for his family and for the world. His plan was simple and his mind was determined. In the same fashion we must turn within our hearts and see where we stand. It was said by Dr. King “Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase. The one thing that I want all of the readers to do is step up just as Martin Luther King Jr. did and control your circumstances. This is an era where we the people have an open opportunity for growth and development. STOP feeling sorry for the situation and do something about. Now, for a note on the sweeter side, I would like everyone to take a look at your life. Clear your mind of everything negative, positive or indifferent. This may take more time for some then others but when you’re done clearing your mind I ask you to take the breath. This is the first step to simplifying your life and creating a straight path to a more Dr. King style life. In life anything that you wish to succeed in comes from undying persistence but first one must clear their head and create strategy from an unprejudiced view. It is said that foreign people in this country have four times the capability to become millionaires than Americans do. This is in direct correlation to the exercise I just had you do. On a consistent and persistent base, by keeping a clear mindset you will achieve what you perceive. For it is not our purpose to conquer the whole world but live our life with quality and clarity. Now I leave the reigns of your life in your hands.
Love Ya’ll
